Kin Foon Liew

Kin Foon Liew is an associate at VANEPS, specialising in resolving commercial and corporate disputes. He litigates mainly in the field of shareholder disputes, debt collection disputes and inquiry proceedings.

Kin Foon completed his master’s degree in corporate law cum laude (with honors) at the Radboud University. After earning his master’s degree he started his career as an attorney-at-law at a litigation boutique law firm where he gained experience in all the aspects of procedural law.

Kin Foon’s practice focuses on resolution of corporate and commercial issues, such as directors’ and supervisory board members’ liability, post-M&A disputes. He also has extensive experience with inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber (for both applicants and defendants) and class actions.


Work highlights include:

  • Successfully defended a private equity firm in inquiry proceedings.
  • Handled preliminary relief proceedings regarding compulsory transfer of shares, successfully both claiming and defending against such transfer.
  • Involved in numerous leading class action lawsuits, including the TikTok privacy class action and the diesel emissions scandal cases.

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
